Modern Slavery Statement
Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement
This Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement is made by Man with Van Enfield in respect of the services we provide in removals, transport, and logistics support. We recognise our responsibility to prevent modern slavery and human trafficking in our operations and supply chains and are committed to acting ethically and with integrity in all our business relationships.
Modern slavery is a crime and a serious violation of fundamental human rights. It can take many forms, including slavery, servitude, forced or compulsory labour, and human trafficking. Man with Van Enfield maintains a zero-tolerance approach to all forms of modern slavery and expects the same high standards from all those with whom we work.
Our Zero-Tolerance Policy
Man with Van Enfield operates under a clear zero-tolerance policy towards modern slavery and human trafficking. We do not accept any form of forced, bonded, or involuntary labour, and we do not tolerate practices such as withholding identity documents, charging recruitment fees, or any form of coercion. All workers must be engaged on fair terms, with the freedom to leave employment after reasonable notice and without penalty.
Our zero-tolerance policy applies to all individuals working for us at all levels, including employees, agency workers, contractors, drivers, subcontractors, and any other third parties representing or acting on behalf of Man with Van Enfield. Breach of this policy by any person or organisation associated with us may result in termination of contracts, reporting to the relevant authorities, and other appropriate remedial action.
Supply Chain Standards and Supplier Audits
Our supply chains primarily include vehicle hire and maintenance providers, fuel suppliers, equipment and packaging suppliers, and labour agencies. We expect all suppliers to share our commitment to preventing modern slavery, and we require them to operate in compliance with all applicable labour, human rights, and employment laws.
Man with Van Enfield is implementing a risk-based supplier due diligence and audit process. This includes assessing suppliers based on location, sector, and the nature of goods or services provided. Where higher risks are identified, we may request additional information or documentation, conduct targeted audits, and seek written confirmation of compliance with our modern slavery standards.
We reserve the right to visit supplier premises where appropriate, review employment records and working conditions, and require corrective action plans if any concern is identified. Failure to address concerns or evidence of modern slavery in a supplier’s operations may lead to suspension or termination of the business relationship.
Training, Awareness, and Reporting Channels
Man with Van Enfield is committed to raising awareness of modern slavery among our staff, particularly those involved in procurement, recruitment, or the management of subcontractors. Training and guidance are provided to help staff identify indicators of modern slavery and understand the steps to take if they suspect any wrongdoing.
We encourage a culture of openness where concerns can be raised without fear of retaliation. All employees, workers, and contractors are expected to report any suspicion of modern slavery in our operations or supply chains at the earliest possible stage. Concerns can be raised with line managers, senior management, or through internal reporting mechanisms that allow for confidential escalation. Reports will be treated seriously, investigated promptly, and handled sensitively, with appropriate measures taken to protect those who raise concerns in good faith.
Continuous Improvement and Annual Review
Man with Van Enfield recognises that combating modern slavery is an ongoing responsibility requiring continuous improvement. We are committed to regularly reviewing and enhancing our policies, procedures, and due diligence processes to address emerging risks and good practice standards.
This Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement will be reviewed annually by our management team to assess its effectiveness and to reflect any changes in legislation, guidance, or our business operations. As part of this review, we will evaluate the outcomes of supplier audits, the effectiveness of training and awareness activities, and any issues reported through our internal channels.
By maintaining a zero-tolerance stance, conducting risk-based supplier audits, providing clear reporting channels, and committing to annual review, Man with Van Enfield seeks to play its part in preventing modern slavery and ensuring that respect for human rights remains at the core of our business.
